SoundMeter on 3rd Gen. iPod Touch with SwitchEasy ThumbTack?

Anyone try this combination?  Any predictions on how well this set-up might work, if at all?  I noticed the ThumbTack performed well when tested with a version of the iPhone...

...but it sounds like the freq. response of the audio i/o circuitry can change dramatically between different versions of the iPhone/iPod.  If Ben or someone at Faber says 3rd Gen. iPod Touch with Thumbtack works well, I'll buy the SoundMeter.
