This screen includes options that can be applied to all channels, or independently to individual channels.
- Units
Tap Units to select the desired units for all input channels.
- Enable Channel
The Enable Channel switch(es) allow you to select which channels will be used for analysis by the FFT
analyzer or the Oscilloscope.
- Calibrate
Tap Calibrate to manually enter a sensitivity for the relevant input channel, or automatically
calibrate its
sensitivity based on a known input level.
- Integration (only available when Units is set to "ips".
When working with units of ips (inches per second), it is assumed that the input transducer is
an accelerometer. The acceleration signal must be integrated in order to produce a velocity signal.
This option enables you to choose fast or slow integration. You can optionally choose "None" in the
event you have an external velocity sensor connect to your device.
- Note: calibrating the input channel with units of ips will affect the calibration for units
of g. This way, you can calibrate your accelerometer (or enter it's sensitivity) and switch over
to ips without having to re-calibrate.
